  3. Sand and Bag Distribution

    July 13, 2018, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM @ Les Mauldin 204 Les Mauldin Dr. Monte Bella 2525 West Alton Gloor Blvd. Industrial Park G.B.I.C. Circle

    The City of Brownsville Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security and Public Works Department will provide free sand and bags to Brownsville residents on Friday, July 13, and Saturday, July 14, 2018, at three locations including Les Mauldin, Monte Bella and Industrial Park. Residents must present an official Driver License/ID and a Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) Account of Charges prior to obtaining sand and bags. Residents are limited to eight bags and businesses may receive up to 10 bags. In addition, residents are encouraged to bring a shovel. Prefilled sandbags will be available at each location for the disabled, a disabled placard must be provided to receive prefilled sandbags.   4. Historic Preservation and Design Review Board Meeting

    The Historic Preservation and Design Review Board was created by Ordinance No. 1100, adopted August 28, 1985, amending Chapter 26 of the Code of Ordinances by adding Article VII and VIII, and amended by Ordinance No. 99-1100.27, adopted on June 1, 1999. The board issues Certificates of Appropriateness Class "A" Permit, authorizing the total or partial alteration of a structure which is zoned as a historic site either in the Historic Overlay District, or exceptionally in other areas.

  5. Brownsville Parks Mobile Recreation Unit Tour

    July 13, 2018, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Edelstein Park

    The Brownsville Mobile Recreation Unit Tour is a traveling party for the entire community. The Mobile Recreation Unit features an inflatable water slide, portable basketball hoops, tricycles, hula hoops, arts and crafts supplies, and an assortment of other outdoor recreational equipment.
