  1. Brownsville Municipal Court Warrant Amnesty Period

    February 14, 2018, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM @ Main Station, 1034 E. Levee Street; Southmost Substation, 2900 Southmost Blvd.; Westside Substation, 1700 W. Hwy. 281

    The City of Brownsville Municipal Court will hold a warrant amnesty period from Monday, February 12, 2018, to Friday, March 2, 2018. During the warrant amnesty period, the Brownsville Municipal Court will waive Failure to Appear fines ($230) and Capias pro fines ($50) for individuals who visit the Brownsville Municipal Court and pay the outstanding balance of their underlying ticket(s). Individuals must visit the Brownsville Municipal Court in person to be eligible to participate in the program, unless other arrangements are approved by the Presiding Judge or Assistant Municipal Court Director. No arrests will be made for individuals who voluntarily visit the Brownsville Municipal Court during the designated warrant amnesty period.

    The Brownsville Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) provides administrative support and technical services to coordinate, carry out and conduct transportation planning for Brownsville, Los Fresnos and the Town of Rancho Viejo to conform to federal highway and transit regulations. The activities conducted by the Brownsville MPO are intended to identify policies, programs and improvement projects to address area transportation activities and needs. The adoption of transportation plans and policies by the MPO is an integral step in the process of obtaining federal funding for various transportation improvements, including transit activities.
