The public is welcome to enjoy time outdoors with activities such as:  exercising, walking, jogging, hiking, biking, strolling, bird watching, and dog walking.  

Currently only 12 park locations have opened playground amenities, three parks locations per district (Brownsville has 4 districts). PARD will reopen as per its adopted Reopening Plan and only when public health measure criteria are met.

Occupancy and age limits are posted at playgrounds, along with bilingual signage asking families to take safety precautions before visiting parks and or trails.

PRO TIP: Use the restroom at home before you visit a park or plan for a shorter trip. Pack for an outing, make sure you have your essentials: bring own water bottle, sanitizer, wipes, etc.
