Yes, city of Brownsville Parks and trails are OPEN.  However, in an effort to support the safety and well-being of our community, all City of Brownsville pools, playgrounds, fitness installations, pavilions, gyms, rental facilities, public amenities, restrooms, and facilities are closed until further notice. 

Currently only 8  park locations have opened playground amenities,  two park location per district (Brownsville has 4 districts).

Occupancy and age limits are posted at playgrounds, along with bilingual signage asking families to take safety precautions before visiting parks and or trails.

If you decide to visit a park or trail, please abide Current Declaration Amended of Local Disaster For Public Health Emergency Order guidelines.  Protect yourself and others. Make sure you're wearing a face mask (face covering) and always practice social distancing.  Maintain distance--Stay 6 feet away from other people.   Avoid mass gathering. No crowds, no groups.

About this Park

Lincoln Park is 48 acres.  This park hosts a variety of program options that include nature center, baseball fields, basketball courts, playgrounds, and hiking trails.  Located just outside the University of Texas RGV, the park provides a breath of fresh greenery and open space alongside the local urban landscape.
