Currently only 16 park locations have opened playground amenities, four parks locations per district (Brownsville has 4 districts). PARD will reopen as per its adopted Reopening Plan and only when public health measure criteria are met.

Occupancy and age limits are posted at playgrounds, along with bilingual signage asking families to take safety precautions before visiting parks and or trails.

PRO TIP: Use the restroom at home before you visit a park or plan for a shorter trip. Pack for an outing, make sure you have your essentials: bring own water bottle, sanitizer, wipes, etc.

ATTENTION:
Visitors must comply with the following requirements:
  1. Face masks over the mouth and nose are required for everyone 10 years of age or older with caregiver supervision at all times to ensure face mask use.
  2. Do not use the playground when different households are unable to maintain a physical distance of 6 feet or when the capacity limit has been reached.
  3. Caregivers must monitor to keep adults and children from different households at least 6 feet apart.
  4. Consider coming on different times or days to avoid wait times and potential crowded times.
  5. No eating or drinking in playground, to ensure face masks are worn at all times.
  6. Wash or sanitize hands before and after using the playground.
  7. Elderly and persons with underlying medical conditions should avoid playground when others are present.
  8. Limit visit to 30 min per day when others are present.


City of Brownsville PARD staff  and Brownsville PD will regularly and randomly be monitoring this park to ensure safety guidelines are in place.

Located in District 3, this park provides a breath of fresh greenery and open space.
Steps from the popular Brownsville Events Center, Brownsville Tennis Center, and Central Parkway Trails, this this waterfront park features a tropical landscape.  It is popular destination for cyclist, joggers, and families.
 
The playground is 2240 square feet, featuring a Pirate Ship playground and swings.
