BROWNSVILLE, Texas (February 21, 2019) – The City of Brownsville Municipal Court will hold a warrant amnesty period for the payments of outstanding warrants and fines to the Municipal Court from Tuesday, February 19, 2019, to Friday, March 8, 2019.
During this period, Brownsville Municipal Court will waive the failure to appear fines and warrants. Citizens who show up to voluntarily pay those tickets during the designated warrant amnesty period will not be arrested.
Individuals must come to the court in person to be eligible to participate in the program unless other arrangements are approved by the Judge or Court Administrator. No arrests will be made for those who voluntarily come to court during warrant amnesty period from February 19 - March 8, 2019.
