The Brownsville Sports Park in collaboration with Down By the Border, a non-profit organization, invite the community to attend a Special Needs Sports Clinic from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2019, at the Brownsville Sports Park, 1000 Sports Park Boulevard in Brownsville, Texas.
“The Brownsville Parks and Recreation Department offers an increasing number of recreational opportunities to those in our community with special needs or disabilities,” said Parks & Recreation Department Director Damaris McGlone, CTRS. “Should the participant need a modification to participate please contact us as soon as possible before the event, we invite those with a special need to join in this fun recreational activity and make new friends.”
The Special Needs Sports Clinic will include basic basketball and soccer skills.The participation fee is $2 per person.
Down By The Border is a 501(c) non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the quality of life and provide support to persons with Down syndrome and their families.
