Historic Preservation & Design Review Board Meeting

The Historic Preservation and Design Review Board (formerly known as "Heritage Council") was created by Ordinance #1100, adopted August 28, 1985, amending Chapter 26 of the Code of Ordinances by adding Article VII and VIII, and amended by Ordinance #99-1100.27, adopted on June 1, 1999. To better meet the City's historic preservation needs, Ordinance#1100 was revamped in 2015 and was replaced by Ordinance No. 2015-1606. The board issues Certificates of appropriateness (COAs), also known as Class "A" Permits, authorizing the total or partial alteration of a structure which is zoned as a historic site within the Historic Overlay District ("O-11").
