  • Check flood plain (current FEMA Maps)
  • Gather property deed and tax ID number (Geographic id); visit Cameron County Appraisal District CAD Map
  • Is a permit required? For Residential Construction, reference International Residential Code 2012, Section 105.2
  • Get an address letter from Engineering Department
  • Get Letter of Availability of Service from Utility Company (water, sewer and electrical provider)
