The Brownsville Border Film Commission was created in 2003 to market the City of Brownsville as a film friendly destination. The Brownsville Border Film Commission is AFCI-Certified, one of eleven Regional Texas Film Commissions, and a Film-Friendly Community.
Located in the southern tip of Texas, Brownsville offers an unforgettable and matchless experience along the border--sister city to Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico--with beautiful landscapes, historical sites, unique flora and fauna, and wealth of culture and talent.
The Brownsville Border Film Commission can provide assistance with city department coordination, permitting, location scouting, and film-friendly hotel rates.
