The Athletics Division offers year round adult and youth athletics leagues, tournaments, and events, which promote a healthy lifestyle for city residents and surrounding communities. The division is comprised of two divisions: Adult Athletics and Youth Sports

Youth Sports
The Parks and Recreation Department Youth Sports Programs offers tackle football leagues, flag football leagues, basketball programs, and volleyball leagues. In addition to leagues, a variety of youth sports clinics/camps are offered throughout the year, especially during the summer months, and provide positive and healthy experiences for area youth.
Youth Sports Organizations within the City of Brownsville operate youth sports leagues at various Parks and Recreation facilities. These leagues are operated by volunteers and work separately from the Parks and Recreation Department Youth Sports Program.
