Brownsville Urban System (BUS) has been providing affordable, convenient, and accessible public transportation to the City of Brownsville since 1978. The City is considered a "small transit intensive city" by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and is reflected by the 1.8 million passenger rides BUS provides on average each year. BUS provides these services through a network of 14 fixed routes and complementary ADA paratransit services.
